Why We Built This
In our years of designing brands, we started noticing a pattern: people reaching for branding before they’d really named the why, hoping the visuals would sort it out.
But when the foundation’s shaky, design has to overcompensate, and that’s when things start feeling off (even if they look flowy on the surface).
So we built The Class the way we’d want it if we were in that in-between spot: not quite ready for a full studio engagement, but fully ready to get a big idea off the ground and understand how brands are actually built. We teach it in the order we really use: strategy first, then creative direction, then identity. When the base is clearer, the design serves a deeper purpose. It stops trying so hard. And yes, it still gets to be flowy too.
