Why We Built This

In 11 years of designing brands, we started noticing a pattern: people reaching for branding before they’d really named the why, hoping the visuals would sort it out. But when the foundation’s shaky, design has to overcompensate, and that’s when things start to feel off (even if they look flowy on the surface).

So we built The Class the way we’d want it if we were in that in-between spot, not quite ready for a full studio engagement, but fully ready to get a big idea off the ground. We teach it in the order we actually use: strategy first, then creative direction, then identity. When the base is clear, the design clicks. It doesn’t try so hard. It just works, and yes, it gets to be flowy too.
