This is where we start culling. Separating what’s actually reference material from what’s just a vibe. We’ll get into “handlebars” here too, the specific things helping steer the direction forward. This is where the path starts getting clearer, the right references start rising to the top, and we stop endlessly collecting and start actually making. Then we play. Hard.

Week 7: Creative Direction → Brand Identity
Lesson:
Start dividing, culling, and playing. Narrow the field a bit. Notice what keeps repeating, what feels forced, and where there’s actual energy.
The Doing:
Pull your references into clearer lanes and begin pressure testing directions against your strategy. We start making quick, low-pressure moves with typography, imagery, color, layout, symbols, whatever you feel called to roll around in.
Share:
Present your directions, experiments, and early instincts for feedback and ideas for further exprimentation, we help push each other to follow the wild hairs.
